We are Shuswap Coffee Company, where every cup tells a story of quality, sustainability, and empowerment. 

We specialize in roasting only the finest Arabica coffee beans, sourced predominantly from women-led cooperatives in Central and South America. Through partnerships with Cafe Femenino, these incredible women meticulously select the best beans, ensuring each sip delivers unparalleled flavor and aroma.

Arabica, often referred to as 'mountain coffee', thrives at higher altitudes, typically between 1,000 to 2,000 feet above sea level. This unique environment slows the bean's growth, resulting in a richer, more complex flavor profile. However, it also presents challenges such as frost, pests, and disease, requiring careful cultivation and hand-picking to maintain quality.

In contrast, Robusta beans, grown in less demanding conditions, yield an inferior product. Despite its higher cost, Arabica's superior taste and aroma justify the investment. Each Arabica variety boasts its own distinct fragrance and flavor notes, ranging from spicy to nutty, ensuring a delightful sensory experience with every brew.
